At Trinity, students augment their communication studies with a strong, interdisciplinary liberal arts and sciences background, and they have ample opportunities to earn credit doing hands-on work in media outlets on and off campus.

Studios/Labs

The Sid W. Richardson Communication Center houses the Department of Communication as well as student-run media operations. Cutting edge media facilities include high definition, digital radio and television stations as well as state-of-of-the-art work stations for digital design, journalism, and gaming.

Internships

The Department of Communications encourages students to participate in multiple internships during their undergraduate study to gain hands-on experience in the field of which they are interested and to apply the skills and knowledge they have obtained in the classroom to real life situations.

Faculty members have developed and maintained excellent relationships with alumni as well as local, national and international organizations, giving Trinity students priority on several internship opportunities.

Trinity students have recently held internships internationally in the Office of Public Affairs for the Esso Corporation in Angola and the Monsoon/Accessorize Clothing Company in London, nationally at National Geographic, ESPN, MTV, ABC's Nightline, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Supreme Court of the United States, and locally at the McNay Art Museum, San Antonio Sports, the San Antonio Hospice Society, KGB Texas, and the San Antonio Spurs.
