Students who participate in modern languages and literatures have the opportunity to enhance their education through the department's interdisciplinary approach to its curriculum. The department works in cooperation with multiple departments and programs across the campus.
The Mexico, the Americas, and Spain (MAS) program invites students from across disciplines to experience internships in Spain, conferences in Mexico, opportunities to collaborate with students at the Monterrey Institute of Technology, and participate in service learning trips.
The East Asian Studies at Trinity (EAST) program is designed for students to polish their skills and prepare themselves for future business, policy, or government work in a region of the world that is home to a quarter of the world's population.
Languages Across the Curriculum (LAC) is a way for students to learn and develop language proficiency. Courses teach the vocabulary of the language, expose students to readings in the language, and introduce academic and professional concepts used in the language.
