Students of religion have many opportunities both in and out of the classroom to engage with departmental faculty, scholars, and fellow students. These include both academic and social gatherings, including events at the homes of faculty and informal gatherings organized by the Religion Student Society.

Lectures and Events

The department of religion brings to campus distinguished scholars in the field of religion who deliver public lectures, meet with religion classes, and engage in informal conversation with faculty and students in the department.

The Religion Department is hosting the 2016 Lennox Lecture Series: (Re)Inventing the Bible. View the schedule here.

Religion Student Society

The Religion Student Society is an organization run by religion majors that meets for social and academic events. Join the Religion Department Facebook group to find out about upcoming events and to discuss all things religion at Trinity University.

Ethel Evans Department of Religion Scholarship Awards

A limited number of Ethel Evans Department of Religion Scholarship awards are available to students majoring in religion. Awards are based on general academic achievement and on academic excellence within the department of religion.
