Become an ambassador to prospective parents and families. As a Parent Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to share your love of Trinity with those researching our educational and campus community. Your efforts will ensure that we continue to enroll talented and diverse students. Volunteering as a Parent Ambassador is a meaningful way to remain engaged with the University and have an impact on its future.
The opportunities at Trinity are endless. With exceptional and accessible faculty, abundant resources and opportunities, a rigorous yet flexible curriculum, and a diverse campus community, Trinity is a place of discovery and growth. We encourage you to explore these resources to better prepare you to talk about Trinity and share your #TigerPride.
Campus visit programs attract prospective students and their families from around the world. An important part of these programs is the opportunity to hear from various panels made up of current students, alumni and Trinity parents. Participating parents are asked to attend a brief training on the day of the event and then sit on a panel to answer questions from an audience of prospective parents.
Interviews are conducted in major cities across the country with Admissions staff members. While the prospective students are being interviewed, parent volunteers are asked to mingle with families in the waiting area. Participating parents share their Trinity experience and help the families feel comfortable, while educating them about the University.
Trinity may sponsor events or receptions that provided opportunities for prospective or incoming first year students and their families to meet alumni, current students, Trinity parents and other Trinity prospective students. Examples of events include large hotel receptions, winter gatherings and smaller gatherings of admitted students. These events help engage applicants, assist in final decision making and acclimate first years before they arrive on campus. Parents may volunteer to host or attend these events.
Summer Calling Campaigns
Parents may contact parents of enrolled students in the summer before their first year. The purpose of these calls is to welcome families into the Trinity community and share any advice gained from your own Trinity parent years.
