The Novel Coronavirus outbreak is an evolving situation which we are following closely.
At this time, there are NO cases or suspected cases of Coronavirus on-campus.
We think our students are exceptional in every way, but sometimes they get sick or are injured and need some help. The mission of Trinity Univeristy Health Services is to provide high quality, accessible nursing and medical care to enrolled students of Trinity University.
We seek to support the educational process by promoting, instructing and empowering students to develop an optimal level of holistic wellness so that they can achieve their personal and intellectual potential and minimize interruptions in their academic pursuits. We acknowledge the wide diversity of our patients and are dedicated to providing developmentally appropriate, culturally-sensitive medical and nursing care.
The Health Services nursing staff is available during walk-in-hours, 57 hours per week, Monday through Thursday 8 am to 8 pm and Friday 8 am to 5 pm, to administer first aid, evaluate student illness and provide wellness services to assist our students in staying well. Most of our services are available to students without charge. The University Physician is available to students by appointment four days a week.
In our efforts to assist our community in staying well and provide the most appropriate care to each of our patients we require all students living on campus to submit a health record that includes health history, a recent physical exam, documentation of immunization, tuberculosis screening and proof of health insurance. The University requires all students to provide proof of health insurance, annually. Health Services is responsible for collecting this information.
When Health Services is closed and students have questions about what to do if they are not feeling well they may refer to the Self-Help Resources for advice and the location of off-campus medical facilities, when necessary.
