Lawrence Mouillé, Ph.D.
- Assistant Professor , Mathematics
I joined Trinity University in the fall of 2024. Before that, I held postdoctoral positions at Rice University and Syracuse University. I completed my bachelor's degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (my hometown) and my graduate degrees at the University of California, Riverside.
I have essentially been teaching since 2011, when I started running study groups for Physics 1 in the Learning Center at UL Lafayette. I come from a family full of educators, and I find that helping students succeed is the most rewarding part of my job.
In my research, I study differential geometry, including connections between curvature, topology, symmetry, dynamics, and related topics.
Differential geometry, Riemannian geometry, metric geometry, geometric analysis, Lie group actions, and lower curvature bounds.
