Alumni Weekend 2016 at Trinity University
Trinity welcomes its Tigers home for a weekend of memories

When is the last time you dipped a toe in Miller Fountain? Can you still feel the warm sunlight as it streams through the towering live oaks? From Friday, Oct. 7 through Sunday, Oct. 9, Trinity University welcomes alumni home to campus for Alumni Weekend 2016. The recurring theme, “Tiger at Heart,” reminds alumni of all reunion years that no matter how much time has passed since they stepped on campus or what distance  have traveled, Trinity will always be their home away from home.

This year, Trinity celebrates 25 years of the Trinity University Student Ambassadors, a program that builds connections between current students and alumni while encouraging philanthropy and campus traditions. Ambassadors will be able to take part in two reunion events. Also new are two reunion events for the former students of the late theatre instructor Paul Baker.

Alumni Weekend starts on Oct. 7 with the All Alumni Golf Tournament and Lunch at 11 a.m. at the Quarry Golf Club. Other Friday events include a tennis clinic at the Butch Newman Tennis Center, where current Trinity coaches and athletes will offer a few on-court tips. The All Alumni Gathering and Dinner will take place at the Magic Stones at 6 p.m. and the festivities continue at Bombay’s at 9 p.m. with the All Alumni After Party.
