College Choice Highlights Trinity in Texas
Online publication singles out the University for its academic excellence, student experience

In the ranking of the “50 Best Colleges and Universities in Texas for 2016-17,” Trinity University has been named No. 2 by College Choice, an independent online publication to help students and their families find the “right” college for them.

Earlier this year, College Choice ranked Trinity No. 1 in the list of Best Western Regional Universities. This ranking was based exclusively on factors that actual college freshmen said were most important to their college decision, including academic reputation, financial aid offerings, overall cost, and success of graduates in the post-college job market.

In the Texas-based ranking, College Choice noted that residents of the Lone Star State have many choices to consider when thinking about college. The publication notes that the state has 36 public universities and a variety of private institutions that run the gamut from small liberal arts colleges to large top-tier research universities.

In singling out Trinity, College Choice celebrates Trinity’s 50 areas of study at the undergraduate and graduate levels, making for a wide variety of majors from which to choose. The site also notes that San Antonio is a great backdrop for students seeking diversity in entertainment and activity outside of class. In addition, the site mentions the wide availability of fraternities and sororities as well as student organizations.

College Choice lists the most popular programs as:

  • Bachelor of Science in International Business
  • Master of Science in Health Care Administration
  • Master of Arts in School Psychology
