Food during finals week is a must at Trinity, especially late at night. Students have become accustomed to the tradition of midnight breakfast. Usually occurring at 11:59 p.m. on a reading day, the event is always popular.
According to the 1993 Trinitonian, students used to gather in the foyer of the North and South dorms for the event. While they did not have hot food, “there was plenty of cereal and milk to go around.” Students wore pajamas and watched cartoons, a comfort amidst the stress of the exam season. Now, students meet in Mabee Hall to chow down.
Today, the midnight breakfast is a welcomed break from studying and even more of a feast. Professors, executive leadership, and staff come to serve students pancakes, eggs, sausages, and more. During the fall finals week, they even wear festive Christmas attire!
