Local fashion for a cause is the motivation behind the annual Taylor’d For You Fashion Show, put on by four 2016 Trinity graduates—Taylor Mobley, Lyric Smith, Samantha Skory, and Tito Sandigo. Trinity alumna, April Ancira, was among the group of sponsors for the fashion show. In July, the third annual show displayed the work of nine local designers and generated $30,000 in proceeds, which were awarded to San Antonio Threads, a nonprofit that provides new clothing to at-risk teens in the community.
Taylor’d For You was first introduced in a segment promoting inclusive fashion on “San Antonio Living.” Founder Taylor Mobley was soon inspired to expand the concept to an annual fashion show. “I wanted a way to incorporate fashion,” she says, “but have it fueled by something more and really involve the San Antonio community.” These Trinitonians want Taylor’d For You to become a non-profit that continues to pour into a variety of charities through multiple events each year. Their vision is clear: “Taylor'd For You is a brand that always gives back and always celebrates individuals as they are.”
