Brackenridge and Davis will discuss various ways in which Trinity has endeavored to articulate and visualize its unique institutional mission in different geographical, cultural, economic, and educational contexts. Long before terms such as branding, marketing, target audiences, competitive advantage, and positioning became commonplace, educational institutions have been engaged in “selling their product” in a highly competitive environment. Using insights from different disciplines coupled with illustrations of a variety of promotional efforts, Davis and Brackenridge offer a distinctive approach to a sesquicentennial celebration. Group questions and comments are welcomed.
