Trinity Hires Investment Professional as Inaugural Director of Investments
Craig Crow to oversee Trinity's endowment portfolio

Trinity University has named Craig D. Crow as its inaugural director of investments. Crow will be responsible for the stewardship of the $1.1 billion endowment, aided by Trinity's Board of Trustees Investment Committee and the University's investment consultants.

Trinity University created the position to continue the development of the University's long-term asset management program, as the portfolio strategy progresses toward direct and alternative investments with the goal to increase the risk adjusted returns for Trinity's endowment. "The goal of the position of director of investments is to increase returns, while lowering the administrative cost," said Gary Logan, vice president for finance and administration, in which the director of investments will report. Crow will provide due diligence of new investment opportunities, monitor the current investment portfolio, and act as the primary contact with the Board of Trustees Investment Committee and the University's investment consultants.

Prior to joining Trinity, Crow spent four years as a member of the investment team at Rice Management Company, which oversees Rice University's $5.3 billion endowment. He was responsible for research, analysis, and monitoring across an extensive range of asset classes and Rice's portfolio of investments. Previously, Crow was an investment associate in J.P. Morgan's Asset Management division, where he advised family offices on investment management decision, including asset allocation, manager selection, and opportunistic investments. He is a CFA™ charterholder.

Crow started his career playing professional baseball in the Texas Rangers organization and was drafted in the 11th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball First Year Players draft.

Crow earned a Bachelor of Arts from Rice University with dual majors in economics and English, where he was an all-conference pitcher for the Rice Owls baseball team
