"Inspiring Learning" theme for Inauguration of 19th President, Danny Anderson
The inauguration of Danny J. Anderson as the 19th president of Trinity University will take place Feb. 13-19, 2016, with the investiture ceremony set for 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19.
A variety of events, including a day of service and a creative teach-in called The Great Trinity Experiment, will offer opportunities the entire University community to participate during the inauguration celebration.
"We're working hard to plan for more than 'Pomp and Circumstance' and to mark this occasion by keeping teaching, learning, and community engagement at the center of our thinking," said Sharon Jones Schweitzer, co-chair of the Inauguration Committee. "President Anderson's charge to the committee was to keep the focus on Trinity and showcase the University's best attributes," she added.
A custom website has been created to provide information about the inaugural events and details of the schedule "so as many people as possible can plan to participate in this very special moment in Trinity's history," Schweitzer said.
