Trinity Trustee, Parent Alumni Challenge Extended
Texas Businessman Ted Beneski offers matching gift to encourage alumni giving, challenge extended until May 31

The challenge offered by Trinity University parent and Board of Trustees member Ted Beneski, to make a gift of $60,000 to Trinity if 600 new alumni make a gift this year to the University has been extended to May 31. Beneski, a business executive from Colleyville, Texas, launched the challenge May 9 and so far nearly 300 Trinity alumni have responded. "The challenge will help to increase vital annual support for Trinity University," said Mike Bacon, Trinity University Vice President for Alumni Relations and Development. Designed to attract about 600 new alumni donors this year, the challenge has the potential to achieve a new five year record for the University in terms of annual giving. "Ted Beneski's generosity provides some great momentum to close out the fiscal year, said Bacon.

As part of the challenge campaign, Trinity alumni volunteers are reaching out to classmates who have yet to make a gift this year in an effort to reach the 600 alumni donors to meet the challenge. "It has been great to see how alumni have rallied to make this challenge a success," said Mary Kay Cooper, Senior Director of Alumni Relations. Alumni can make their gift at gotu.us/TU600.
