Trinity University Board Elects Marshall Hess as Trustee
Dallas real estate and investments executive, active alumnus joins Board of Trustees

Dallas business executive Marshall Hess ’88 has been elected to the Trinity University Board of Trustees. A Trinity alumnus, Hess has more than 25 years experience in commercial real estate and investments.

Hess co-founded Highland Capital Real Estate Advisors and served as its senior vice president. He then co-founded Royalton Real Estate Capital, which was purchased by SWBC Real Estate in 2012. Most recently, he was the senior managing director of Encore Wealth Management until 2017. Presently he is launching the next phase of his career through independent work in real estate private equity investing. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for the acquisition and disposition of more than $3 billion in commercial real estate assets.

Hess graduated from Trinity in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in communications. Since graduation, he has remained actively engaged with the University, serving on the San Antonio Alumni Chapter Board, including a term as president, from 1991 to 2000. He also served on the National Alumni Board (now known as the Alumni Association Board) from 1997 to 2003 and served as president of the Alumni Association from 2007-09, which included service to the Board of Trustees as alumni representative. A member of Trinity’s Business Affiliates since 2000, Hess is also an active member of the Trinity Alumni Admissions Network. From 2011 to present, he has served as a member of the Board of Visitors.

Hess is married to Ann Blaine (Blainey) Maguire Hess, and they have two children.
