Trinity University Names Vice President for Enrollment Management
Eric Maloof to provide strategic leadership for student recruitment, retention

Trinity University has promoted Eric Maloof to vice president for enrollment management. Maloof will provide strategic leadership for policies, communications initiatives, data management, and technology infrastructure that support the University's enrollment efforts.

"As Trinity's chief enrollment officer, Eric has been very successful in achieving the University's recruitment goals, both academically and financially," Trinity University President Danny Anderson said. "His leadership has brought enrollment strategies that have stabilized the size of the first year class, increased the applicant pool and admissions selectivity, and strengthened academic profile and diversity."

The creation of the position of vice president for enrollment management reflects a collective effort to strengthen the University's administrative effectiveness and strategically manage the demographic, economic, and societal shifts that affect student enrollment and retention. "By elevating Eric's position, we can better collaborate under the direction of the vice president to recruit, evaluate, select, enroll, assist, and serve the students of Trinity University," Anderson said. This move aligns with Trinity's strategic plan, Trinity Tomorrow, which acknowledges the need for complex and effective recruitment and admissions strategies.

A dedicated member of Trinity's Office of Admissions since 2003, Maloof developed and implemented a robust international student recruitment program that increased the University's international population from 1.5 to 10 percent of the student body. Since June 2015, he has served as associate vice president for enrollment and student retention. He also leads and inspires a talented team, which is central to Trinity's highly effective student admissions process.

Maloof holds a master's in administration, planning, and social policy from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education and a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Vermont. He is a member of college admissions counseling associations in Texas and at the national and international levels and was recently appointed to the College Board's SAT Advisory Board.
