Teaching

For those interested in becoming a teacher, Trinity's teacher preparation program places students in a full-year internship in an area public school and culminates in a teacher certification.

For those interested in assessment and instructional programming for students with special needs, Trinity offers a 3-year program for Licensed Specialists in School Psychology.

For teachers interested in becoming a principal, Trinity's 14-month principal program offers a full-year internship and leadership coaching.

Empatico is a free online learning tool that enables elementary students to develop communication, critical thinking, and empathy through virtual field trips to classrooms around the world. This initiative was made possible by a gift from Daniel Lubetzky '90, executive chairman and founder of KIND Snacks.

Trinity School Design Network Fellows deeply engage in their own learning and communities to create innovative new schools and a powerful network of leaders dedicated to continuous improvement.

Raising Texas Teachers

Raising Texas Teachers (RTT) awards the Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers, a $10,000 scholarship and professional development support, to individuals interested in teaching in Texas.

T.E.A.C.H.

T.E.A.C.H.—the Trinity Education Active Community Helpers—is a Trinity student organization that partners with other orgs to raise awareness about educational issues and to conduct service in area schools and organizations supporting San Antonio youth.

Pre-College Programs

Trinity University's Department of Education has a long history of offering educational opportunities and programs to students throughout San Antonio.

Through its programs—many run or led by Trinity students or graduates—the Department of Education creates opportunities to bring the talents, energy and enthusiasm of our undergraduates, faculty and staff to provide rich educational experiences for K-12 students across the community.

Upward Bound provides opportunities for students to succeed in pre-college coursework in high school and ultimately in their higher education pursuits.
