Overview
Trinity’s Russian program includes three components: language courses at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels; literature courses in both Russian and English; and culture courses in both Russian and English, including cinema, folklore, and the arts in their historical context.
Fast Facts
- Students generally enter the program with no knowledge of Russian, but leave with the ability to read, summarize, and discuss both literary texts and articles from the Russian press.

Courses of Study Bulletin
Candidates for a baccalaureate degree must fulfill the requirements for a major as listed in the courses of study bulletin. The courses of study bulletin is the official source of information regarding degree requirements, academic policies, and academic majors and minors at Trinity University.
Pathways Curriculum
Students must complete the Pathways Curriculum in order to receive a baccalaureate degree. The Pathways Curriculum has six curricular requirements, and three optional elements that provide the foundation in the liberal arts and sciences for all the bachelor’s degrees awarded by Trinity University. Through these requirements, students acquire the necessary skills and disciplinary perspectives to navigate complex questions at Trinity and in their post-graduate lives.
Language
Students study language and composition at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Culture and History
Study all aspects of Russian history, culture, and the arts.
Literature
Literature courses use both Russian and English texts, including Russian classics from the eighteenth century through the 2010s.
