Information for the 2025-26 Academic Year


Student Parking

All vehicles, to include motorcycles, motor scooters, and mopeds operated or parked on University property, Alamo Stadium, Oakmont, and surrounding campus streets by students must be registered with Parking Services.

Where can I park? (Maroon Permit)

Residential Student Permits (Maroon Permit)

  • During business hours (7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m): Lots O, P, S, T, U, V-Prassel Garage, W, X, Y and Heidi Circle. Includes Alamo Stadium, Oakmont and surrounding campus streets.
  • After business hours: Any lot in upper and lower campus. Includes Alamo Stadium (please see Alamo Stadium Parking below) Oakmont and surrounding campus streets. 

Non-Residential Student Permits (White Permit)

  • During business hours (7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.): Orange level in Laurie Auditorium, Lots B, O, S, and V-Prassel Garage. Includes Alamo Stadium, Oakmont and surrounding campus streets.
  • After business hours: Laurie Auditorium, Lots B, C, D, E, F, G, H, L, M, O, S, V-Prassel Garage. Includes Alamo Stadium (please see Alamo Stadium Parking below) Oakmont and surrounding campus streets. 

TUCV Resident Permit (Red Permit)

  • During business hours (7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.): City Vista, Alamo Stadium (please see Alamo Stadium Parking below) Oakmont and surrounding campus streets.
  • After business hours:  Laurie Auditorium, Lots B, C, D, E, F, G, H, L, M, O, S, V-Prassel Garage, Alamo Stadium (please see Alamo Stadium Parking below) Oakmont and surrounding campus streets.

Motorcycle Permit (Yellow Permit)

  • During business hours (7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.):  Students living on campus please see Residential Student Permits section above. Students living off campus please see the Non-Residential Student Permits section above.
  • After business hours: Students living on campus please see Residential Student Permits section above. Students living off campus please see the Non-Residential Student Permits section above.

Campus Access Permit (Silver Permit)

  • During business hours (7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.): Alamo Stadium, Oakmont and surrounding campus streets.
  • After business hours:  Laurie Auditorium, Lots B, C, D, E, F, G, H, L, M, Alamo Stadium (please see Alamo Stadium Parking below), Oakmont  and surrounding campus streets. 

LEV (Low Emission Vehicle) spaces are available in Lots C and P
Vehicles parked in a LEV space must display a current TU parking permit and LEV sticker authorizing them to park in the lot the LEV space is located in. The LEV stickers are available with Parking Services.


Accessible and Special Parking
TUPD is to be contacted for special arrangements when students have special parking needs (e.g. vehicle disabled, loading and unloading, etc.).

Accessible spaces are available in all Laurie Auditorium levels, Lots A, D, E, F, G, L, P, QSTUVWXY, Z, City Vista, Alamo Stadium and Heidi Circle

Students parked in accessible parking spaces are required to display an accessible parking permit or placard and TU parking permit authorizing them to park in the lot the accessible space is located in. 

TUPD and Parking Services are not authorized to issue temporary or permanent accessible parking permits to park on campus.

Parking on campus throughout the year 7 days a week is by permit only. 
Parking lot restrictions are in effect between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. 


Alamo Stadium Parking
Parking in Alamo Stadium is allowed between certain hours Monday through Friday:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: until 9 p.m.
  • Thursday, Friday: until 4:30 p.m.

Parking overnight and on the weekend is not allowed. Vehicles not moved will be subject to parking fines and towing. 


Semester and Holiday Parking
Parking lot restrictions will remain in effect throughout the school year, including semester breaks and during holiday breaks.


Can I part in a visitor space? 

No, if you are registered for classes or are an enrolled student, you are not allowed to park in a visitor space. Please see "Visitor Parking" below.


I cannot find a convenient place to park and/or need an escort during late hours, what can I do?

Students can request an escort from TUPD.

  • By Phone: You may contact TUPD (24-hour non-emergency 210-999-7070).

  • By See Say Mobile App: See Say Mobile App is a powerful safety tool that allows users to call TUPD, report incidents around campus, and access safety escort services.
    • Download the See Say App at the Apple App Store or on Google Play.  
    • Once downloaded: 1) enter your name and contact information; 2) select Trinity University from the list of organizations.

If I need to “run a quick errand” in a building, is it okay to park in the closest handicapped, fire lane, or reserved space with my emergency flashers on?

No. The use of emergency flashers does not “exempt” a person from parking restrictions. These parking areas are created for the purpose for which they are designed. Strict enforcement must be maintained in these areas for the safety of others.

Visitor Parking

What constitutes a visitor?
Persons periodically parking on campus that are not registered for classes or employed by the University. People who regularly frequent the campus (at least once a week) are NOT considered visitors and are required to purchase a parking permit.

Visitor parking spaces are in Lots P, S, U, V, Z, and Alamo Stadium
