Trinity Named a Top 50 Liberal Arts College in Nation
University recognized as No. 41 liberal arts institution and No. 111 university in the country

The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education (WSJ/THE) has ranked Trinity University the No. 41 liberal arts institution and the No. 111 college in the nation.

WSJ/THE defines a liberal arts college as one with an emphasis on undergraduate study that includes a wide range of subjects and states that “the best liberal arts colleges tend to have smaller student populations than other institutions.” Trinity is known for its small class sizes, boasting a 9:1 student-to-faculty ratio, and students can choose from a diverse range of 49 majors, 61 minors, and five graduate programs.

This ranking comes on the heels of other notable recognitions. Trinity was recently named the “Best in the West” by U.S. News & World Report and No. 1 in its Best Value category. The University has also been touted as the No. 61 college in the nation by College Consensus and No. 2 in the nation for merit aid by MONEY.com.

The WSJ/THE is one of the world’s leading providers on higher education data and tracking trends in university performance. The WSJ/THE College Ranking puts student success and learning at its heart, taking into account more than 170,000 current students’ voices when determining its rankings. The ranking methodology hones in on four key areas: resources, engagement, outcomes, and environment.
